Obs, having a normal closing of the application, the next time I try to turn it on I see that all the settings have been deleted..
I don't understand why he does it on his own or for what reason.
The sad thing is that, being so complex, they do not foresee that the configurations are lost just like that.
we lost hours trying to reconfiguring all settings in some cases.. with the settings backuped or not.
It is really annoying, stressful and demotivating that something as simple as keeping the configurations, are deleted by the obs itself without any apparent or valid reason.

I'll bet $50 that OBS Studio didn't delete its own settings
I´ll bet you one green banana that your IQ is less than 80...
If I am reporting this it is not only because it happens to me but also because I have seen it in other users(close to me).
if u have no idea about this issue.. please avoid reply only for the point of the reply.

Hypothesis:
1.- You or the OS rolled back to a previous date for whatever reason.
2.- You changed / created a new Scene Collection and/or Profile.

OBS can't do this things by itself. Someone has to manually change/delete/create the settings.
Common sense.

no to both

(I am getting an idea why users do not report in the forum.. and it is because those who answer have no idea what they replicate)

As for IQ, think way above yours... by a lot.. and decades of related professional/enterprise IT experience. your post reeks of PEBKAC, hence the replies (or lack thereof) you may be seeing.

You post failed to provide anywhere even close to adequate info to identify a possible culprit
And that it happens to others... ok - what is similarity in configs? plug-ins, steps, etc? ie troubleshooting 101
Like,
- were you logged in with a temporary or different user credential (i've seen Temp profiles created by Windows with SSDs and disk writing glitches, combined with security software... depending on setup, not always that obvious to inattentive users)?
- are you even aware that OBS settings are stored in user profile space, so if you change user credentials (admin to non-admin account), that is different user space? if you don't know what that means, realize your frustration should be with yourself for not understanding even the basics of the tool (Windows NT) you are using.

I could go on with a REALLY long list of user self-inflicted problems, where said users blame software, computer, etc for their errors (like listening to folks who have no idea what they are talking about).. really annoying
oh, and to make matters worse, I'm the type to have no patience for whining; those with bad attitude; and/or a false sense of entitlement.

So.. the sooner you get over the most-likely-faulty thought that this is OBS Studio's fault, the sooner you will get to resolution. until you are open to such, you are just wasting our (volunteer) time

now.. i think your IQ is less than 60.. for sure...
dont worry about my problem.. i uninstall obs.. i change it for other..

PD: volunteers like u are idiots with a high degree of narcissism, but with low degree of knowledge in what they reply.. and... but the way they waste our time answering obvious things.. get a life monkey,,
