Hello everyone. I am having an issue with OBS Replay buffer. Here's what seems to be happening. I have a hotkey set up to trigger replay recording which mostly works fine. But one particular evening I was streaming Valorant. We had just gotten finished a really fast round when the game reset us to start the next round. I had done a really cool gameplay moment in the game and triggered a replay buffer with my hotkey. However, at the exact moment, suddenly the game briefly froze, OBS freeze frame and then I got an error that stated "Error encoding with encoder". Then OBS acted like it stopped streaming, and both the Replay Buffer and Streaming Button said "Stopping Streaming" "Stopping Replay Buffer" However those 2 buttons because unresponsive and I had to hard crash OBS Studio in task manager which was frustrating. Upon looking closer at the log file I found something rather interesting but I am unsure why this would happen.
This is NOT the first time that Valorant has caused OBS to crash. And just yesterday, I had the same issue with OBS just plain freezing. I am growing concerned that my GPU is starting to go. Or that I am having Windows / Nivida driver issues and I don't have a spare GPU to use for testing at all. I've also had other issues with NVENC where Vegas Pro will Freeze and crash when doing heavy GPU Accelerated stuff. But being I am dealing with multiple variables I really don't know where to start and as you can imagine, I am pretty frustrated now knowing the right answer.
Also I ran one of the lags through the OBS analyzer, but it didn't make sense that I am just now having issues like this when I've been fine for months.
