I use OBS for a lot of things, pretty much every recording need I have has been covered by OBS for a while so I have some experience with this program I think!
I have a capture card called Avermedia Extremecap U3. With this, I've been able to capture Nintendo Switch, WiiU, PS4, and even NES Classic!
The other day I got a PlayStation Classic though, and it refuses to show anything. This makes no sense to me, because the NES Classic outputs pretty much the same signal (HDMI, 1280x720), and switching to it suddenly makes it work. Then going back to PS Classic, and it wont work.
For some reason, after trying this back and forth MANY times, I am sometimes able to get it showing in OBS, but the sound will be higher pitched, and skippy. And the video will not be smooth. (At least the games that move at 60 fps of course)
Using the capture card's own recording software though, shows the PS Classic video and audio just fine. But I wanna use OBS instead :D
I hope this makes sense to someone, because it doesn't to me. Thank you!!
(Note, the PlayStation Classic works just fine when connected directly to a TV)
