OBS Recordings were fine before today, but suddenly started having awful framerate.

Recordings before today were amazing, but today, even though the 'Preview' image seemed as smooth as ever, recordings turned out horrible. I thought maybe the cache was still generating, so I waited a long time, but it doesn't seem to play well still in VLC.

I tested it just now, and it still wasn't working well

I might have found a solution. Converting the mp4s into mkvs using HandBrake seems to restore smoothness! Hooray! Will post an update after it's finished processing.

Update: It didn't really fix it :(

btw it stays on one frame for a loooong time.

Selecting mkv as the output instead of mp4 seemed to fix the issues for future recordings, which is weird since the ones I recorded before today are in mp4

Seems like I just got lucky the previous times, since apparently mp4 is really susceptible to corruption...
