OBS recordings unplayable and not showing up in Resolve when converted.

So I tried recording a video in my NVEC encoder preset and when I tried viewing the video using windows video/movie player the audio played but the video didn't with the message "this encoding preset is not supported" so I decided to convert it anyway and see if resolve picked it up. I converted it to an mp4 but when I tried playing the mp4 it told me that the file was corrupted. I originally recorded the video in the mkv format. I tried changing my encoder preset to x264 software but that did not fix the issue.

I default use OBS and edit with Resolve
There is no issue if you not selected out of default Settings that are not supported from Resolve

So make a OBS Record with the not working settings, upload this log here and we take a look

btw OBS have include a remux for mkv->mp4 (copy no reencode require) easy and fastway

Try VLC

but like the real problem that I have is that when I do convert the videos using VLC they don't show up in resolve and are also unplayable

But if they play in VLC, you know you have a good video file and that the issue is with Resolve's handling of it. It's narrowing down the problem.
