NOTE: I am not exactly sure how to make a file log. I use mac and i can't seem to find help or anything like that. It would be nice if someone could show me step by step on how to make a log file, pictures would help too!
So I have tried using instructions from another thread made back from 2014 (I think) , which was designed to reduce lag.
1. I changed the file format to FLV
2. I set the Recording Quality to Indisting
3. Encoder set to Software x264 (lower cpu preset)
4. set capped FPS to 30
I tried all four of these and they only helped out a little. The FPS felt like 10-5. All of my recordings were from Minecraft. I use Windows Capture since Game Capture is not shown. two of my recordings were static when i tested it from VLC. I was wondering if there is any way to improve my recordings to not be laggy or choppy?
P.S I am a new OBS user. I do not know fancy terms that OBS users use here. It would really help if you could point out some of the OBS definitions here.
