OBS recordings do not show up after I push stop recording

My OBS has worked so far but for some reason after I record them they are not showing up. They are directed to my capture folder and when I check in OBS file and recordings and it has all the old recordings. But now when I push to record a file pops up there but once I put finish recording it disapears. Could someone help me?

in all seriousness - I don’t know what is causing this - whatever you are recording as, my only suggestion would be to change it to FLV or MKV and see if that works. Perhaps your current method is somehow corrupting.

Furthermore if you are recording to somewhere formatted in MSDOS FAT32 and it goes over 4gb it is possible that is the issue. EXFAT or OSX JOURNALLED let’s you go much larger or unlimited. Can’t remember.

Yes to the above... and are you remuxing? or maybe an antivirus mis-identification quarantining the file(s)?

Are you sure about the location?
By default, recordings are stored in C:Users\YourName\Videos

Check your Output mode and Recording Path.

It is put to C:Users\YourName\Videos\captures so yeah Its going where i need it to

Try this.

Go get a big USB 3 stick. 64GB or 128GB.

Format it to ExFat

Record to that (change the recording path)

See if that works.

YES IT WORKS!!! I got a terabyte hard drive and changed the file location to that. It now works! Thank you!
