Question / Help OBS Recordings Containing No Audio?

Hi guys, I've just started using OBS to record. I'm on a Windows machine, and have managed to set it up to stream just fine.
However, when I go to save a recording (.flv) and open it in OpenShot Video Editor, it contains no sound file. Not sure how else to check if it's containing a sound file, either. Am I better off switching formats or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

(P.S. I'm an A/V technician so I'm not a complete dunce, but this is a whole new world for me)

I did, I think... let me test again and get back to you. I was in a flurry of dummy "lemmetry"s a couple weeks ago when I first tried it and only now am in a place to try again.

So opening the recordings in VLC gives you audio?
If so, then the problem is in openshot.

Oddly enough, simply opening it with VLC before running it through OpenShot seemed to fix it.

No idea why, but good call on trying VLC! Thanks!
