Question / Help OBS Recording Zoomed In/Not My whole screen

When I use OBS to record, and I go full screen, it only shows very zoomed in part of my screen (for example, the top left of my screen instead of showing my entire screen).

My laptop is 1920x1080 and I put all my OBS output and stuff also to 1920x1080. Any ideas?

Heres a log: https://obsproject.com/logs/iFVw_OOrCtqSDJ5W

Also, when I dont record in full screen it is fine, but when I am in full screen the problem occurs again.

Set the fullscreen resolution of the thing you record (probably a game) to the same resolution as your desktop resolution. Currently, your game is switching to a lower resolution when going fullscreen, so it doesn't cover your full canvas in OBS.

My game already is the same resolution, 1920x1080

Then it is the other way round: set the base (canvas) resolution in OBS to your desktop/fullscreen resolution. Currently, you have 1280x720.

Your logfile says 720p, though.

22:27:43.905: base resolution: 1280x720
22:27:43.905: output resolution: 1280x720

I think this might solve your need.
In the Edit menu, navigate to Transform and select Fit to Screen. Alternatively, just press Ctrl + F.

Today, OBS decided to magnify EVERYTHING 200% when I started the program. It was fine at yesterday's live stream. All scenes are doing this, even the stingers transitions are oversized. My canvas size is the same, and the sources are the same, but OBS magnified everything 200% today and I can't get anything to fit. If I choose fit to screen, nothing happens. If I manually transform an asset to fit the screen and then I choose fit to screen, it zooms it up again. Something broke today and I can't find out what is causing it because all the settings are as I left them two years ago.

OBS no longer scales the display to the OBS program window size. If I maximize OBS, I can see the whole capture area again, but that's not how I run OBS. I normally run it in a window at the lower quarter of my screen.

The solution is to hold click one of the corners of the red box and slide it so u can resize the amount of screen captured, or press CTRL + F so if does it automatically.
