OBS Recording Stuttering Playback

Hi All,

I am hoping someone can help me out as this is driving me crazy.

I am using OBS to record so I can edit and upload video to Youtube. When I record, and I watch OBS, my video is running smooth. However, when I watch the playback, the video is stuttering, and there is choppy lag that is not in game, and not reflected while watching OBS. I am desperate for help. Please let me know what additional information is needed.

PC Specs: Intel i7-4790 @ 3.60GHZ

Windows 10 64bit

Thank you for the help!

1. You have Mismatched Refresh Rates. The version of Windows you are running has a limitation which causes performance issues in hardware accelerated applications (such as games) if multiple monitors with different refresh rates are present. Your system's monitors have 2 different refresh rates, so you are affected by this limitation. You can fix this performance problem by setting all displays to use the same refresh rate.

This problem is fixed in the '2004' release of Windows 10. Update Windows.
2. Run OBS as Admin
3. Your log contains no recording or streaming session. Results of this log analysis are limited. Please post a link to a clean log file.
To make a clean log file, please follow these steps:

1) Restart OBS.
2) Start your stream/recording for about 30 seconds. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc.
3) Stop your stream/recording.
4) Select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Send that link via this troubleshooting tool or whichever support chat you are using.

That is really odd regarding windows update. When I run windows update, it says everything is up to date.

As for my monitors, my primary is 144hz, and my 2nd monitor is 60hz.

Here is an updated Log - https://obsproject.com/logs/6rmyGYxZTF0uuCPH

Checking the log I see a ton of skipped frames. I think this is the issue. Do you know how to resolve this issue? Is my 980 not powerful enough?

Thank you in advance for the help!
