Question / Help OBS Recording Stuck?

Hello,

Today I got a new computer and I was very excited to play some games and record them to make a video.

I have a pretty powerful graphics card & CPU so I'm sure the hardware isn't the issue, but rather something else...

I was playing Counter Strike with Game Record and I was getting an average of 200 - 250 fps, running perfectly smooth.

After I finished recording I went to check my recording and I saw that it was extremely laggy, the video kept getting stuck, but the audio worked fine. As I've already said, when I was playing the game, I experienced no lag / fps drops, but when I was editing it, god that was awful.

I'm not sure if I have some sort of setting wrong... I've tried restarting my PC and this issue keeps happening, however it only occurs when I press "Game Capture". I've tried Display Capture and it was not lagging at all.

Sorry if anything I've said doesn't make much sense, I'm not from an english-speaking country.

Thanks for your help.

Remove the extra game capture source and try the software low cpu use encoder.

Also, it's STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED to save directly to mp4.

Where can I find the low cpu use encoder? And also, what should I save it as instead of mp4?

Thank you.

Save as flv. If you need an mp4 for editing, use file -> remux recordings.

As for the low cpu use encoder, settings -> output. Indistinguishable recording quality.

It helped a little bit but it still freezes a lot... I'm pretty dissapointed to be honest. I don't know what else I could possibly do
