Question / Help OBS recording steam messages sound

Hey, this is weird because it had never happened to me before until quite recently, obs would capture the sound steam messages make when I receive steam messages which can be annoying for viewers at times. The same goes for anything steam related, taking a screenshots etc. Whereas OBS doesn't pick that up before, it does now. AFAIK, I did not change any settings and it just started happening one day. Googled around and there's nothing about this. Asked a friend and his OBS is acting the same way as the one I had before, it doesn't capture steam messages sound.

Played around in OBS and can't find anything that can disable it. If anyone have any suggestion I ll gladly try that out. Thanks!

Go into Steam Launcher and all the Settings and disable Display Notifications and Play a sound for all the categories (Friends, In-Game, etc.).

Yea I know that exist but my problem is that I used to be able to have it on and hear steam messages but my stream doesn't capture it. Then one day it just started capturing it for some reason, might be because of an obs update or steam update.

Hey! Weirder question what settings do you have it on to capture it? Because no matter what i do i cant seem to capture steam messages. So I basically have the opposite problem as you.
