Question / Help OBS Recording is really laggy but game is getting 100 fps

This is my first time ever using OBS seeing as i wanted to create modern warfare videos. I installed Obs and got everything running. I configured my settings and hit record i got in game and was fine was getting a solid 90-110 fps seeing as my pc is ok. and then when i went to go look at my recording it was super laggy really confused as to why thats laggy but game isnt help would be much appreciated i also do not know how to attach a log file so help would be appreciated thank you.

my specs are ryzen 2600 and rx 570 mk 2 so idk if its my computer just cant handle it or whats going on

If your game is getting 100+fps but OBS is stuttering, you should frame cap the game.

You're using your GPU to encode and it is overloaded. Hardware encoding on AMD is not nearly "free" as it is with NVENC, it uses some GPU resources.

Your using a 1080p canvas and scaling to 720. That helps the encoding load, but not the rendering load-- but the encoding load is already the bigger issue.

Dropping to 900p or 720p canvas might help, not sure. Depending on how loaded your CPU is, x264 might perform better.
