I've been wanting to record my PUBG for a while and finally came around to doing it, but I've been having huge problems.

My game performs below what it usually does, which is expected, but my recording is COMPLETELY messed up. It stutters and lags i a lot and is completely unuseable. The actuall footage lags as well as what OBS "shows" when both actually recording and just having OBS open. The lag isn't noticeable when not having anything open and just screwing around in my desktop, but when opening any game it begings lagging.

My CPU % usage does not spike

My RAM % usage does not spike

My GPU % usage spikes upwards to 97%

Specs: CPU: Amd 1600

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

SSD: 120 GB

PSU: 650 Watt

HDD 1: 500GB

HDD 2: 300GB

Any help is appreciated

Change your output as follows:
Output mode: Simple output
(the next settings will NOT appear until you change the output mode)
Recording quality: Indistinguishable
Recording format: FLV
Recording encoder: Software (x264, low cpu use, increased file size)

And don't use screenshots to provide logs, it complicates our ability to go through the logs.

Oh, wont use screenshots next time then

Changing said settings didn't seem to help. It is not my CPU that is struggling, it says below 50% usage, but my GPU usage, which gets over 90 % already in the in game menu

Hey there harold. I'm confused as to how changing to FLV would improve video quality? also OP, copy and paste your logs into a pastebin and give us that link!

Your system crashes or the recording process is otherwise interrupted in a non-graceful manner, the MP4 is completely unusable, an flv might lose 2-3s at most.

Here is my Log: https://hastebin.com/takepehohe

I don't get what you mean Harold, I feel my system is far above what is needed to just record my screen, I am able to do it with Shadowplay, just not OBS.

Could the issue have something to do with my screen resolution being diferent than my recording resolution?

Your log shows no recording attempt, especially not with the settings I provided.

Thats because I don't need to record to see the results, just having the program open without recording it shows the same results, just a lot of lag. I've checked.

Then turn off nvidia's in-game overlay. and after that, if it's still a problem, provide a screenshot of the first tab of GPU-Z
