Just got an M1 MacBook Air. OBS is picking up desktop audio but doesn’t detect my speakers so nothing comes out. Everything else on my computer works just fine.
OBS recording audio but not sending to my speakers.

Default Audio setting is to output to recording/stream, but to avoid echo by users who don't RTFM, Monitoring that audio (local speakers) is NOT turned on
Look in Advanced Audio Properties for your Audio Sources. And of course, don't be one of those users and output to speakers and have an open mic that you are capturing in OBS ;^)

Duuuuuude. You are amazing. Thank you. I’ve been banging my head forever. It actually worked. Just shows you the different between someone that knows the difference between their head and their ass, then there’s me. Lmao
