Hey there, im quite new to using OBS and would like to start using it together with Quick Sync, i have Quick Sync enabled in the settings, but whenever i try to stream using any type of source it gives me "QSVHelper.exe has exited because of an incompatible qsvimpl custom parameter"

Ive tried:
Reinstalling all drivers, both intel and NVIDIA
Reinstalling OBS

And still nothing comes out of it. my setup is as follows:
i5 2500k
ASUS P8Z68-V PRO
GTX 780
Windows 8.1

the OBS log shows: Error: QSVHelper.exe has exited because of an incompatible qsvimpl custom parameter

and the QSVhelper.exe log shows: Using 8 encode tasks and 8 internal frame buffers

Would love some help with this, thank you in advance!

Please post a complete log file from a live streaming attempt/session. There's a stickied thread at the top of the forum on how to do so.

0.592 had a slight update to quicksync code, though I don't know if it'll fix the actual issue. You might want to come by chat and ask palana about the issue

Yeah, updated and it did not make a difference, will come by the chat later today.

EDIT: Also i forgot to say that, in order for the Quick Sync checkbox to even become available, i had to copy the contents from the MediaSDK folder in the Intel HD 3000 driver package to the OBS folder, i read about this in another thread on here.

Sorry for double-posting, could it perhaps something do with the fact that im running Windows 8.1 64 Bit N?

Well, i got it running by using a second monitor and plugging it into the iGPU, the downside of this is that i can not play on 144 hz on my main monitor while im doing this :/

Hm, you can usually mess around with refresh settings for your monitor through Screen Resolution control panel in Windows. When I first set up QuickSync I was using a 120hz and a 60hz, when I finally got everything working my main monitor was set to 60hz, but I was able to just set it back to 120hz without any issue.
