When I go to game capture my elgato doesn't show up, instead it shows skype, and then when i try to uninstall to reinstall it says skype is using gamecapture.dll or something along those lines any help? Xsplit and even Elgato Game Capture picks up my device just not obs

Why are you trying to use a game capture source on your Elgato? You should be adding it as a video capture device source instead.

Even when i go under Video Capture Device nothing shows up

I figured it out i was using 64 bit and my elgato wasnt being recognized so i went to the 32 bit and it popped up thanks anyways!
