Question / Help OBS Privacy Settings

Hello everyone,

This is my first thread in this forum so i apologize if this question is repeated. I work in a Internal Communication Department, part of an Insurance Company. My work is Intranet Management and we recently launched a brand new Intranet and i wanted to record a tutorial video from my desktop, and later add some voice-over.

My questions regards the privacy of the video i would record with OBS. I would like to know if i can keep all of my Intranet information Private, and share the video, that i would record with OBS, Private as well. So, if i record a session of my desktop explaining the navigation and structure of my companies Intranet, would it be available for more people then my co-workers? Or does fully depends on my choices of sharing?

The reason is, because i work in an insurance company there are lots and lots of Privacy Issues that i need to fulfill. So if i record a video tutorial, i would be able to share it only internally?

Thank you very much,

Pedro Sepúlveda

For recording, your video is never transmitted anywhere, it will only be saved on your PC so it's up to you what to do with it.

Just make sure you don't set up or start streaming. That goes out to the world.
Local recording is purely... well. Local. To the file on the hard disk you specified as the recording location.
