Hi all,
I've been having this issue lately where the main window preview or separate preview windows will essentially drop frames, say from 60 fps to 30 fps, but only in the preview, it doesn't affect the recordings at all: with no set time or cause, often 5 or so minutes after having OBS open.
This preview lag also happens regardless of whether or not I'm recording, I've found a quick fix by switching profiles as the preview will go back to being smooth but only for so long.
Now this wouldn't be too much of an issue, but I rely on streaming a preview window to Discord for friends to watch and would prefer if it stayed just as smooth as my recordings do.
I've tried reinstalling, downgrading, making sure I run in admin, messing with Nvidia Control Panel settings, I know the common suggestion might be encoding lag or compute performance, but I can guarantee it is not an issue with my computer being able to handle OBS.
I've tried separate software such as VirtualDub2 and Amarec, and this type of preview lag doesn't occur on those programs, only OBS.
Any suggestions are still welcome.
