whenever i have obs on my 2nd monitor, with preview on, it just makes my game choppy. its annoying, how do i fix this?
Post a logfile from a streaming or recording session where the issue occurred, and we can take a look.
Most commonly this happens when you are running two monitors at different refresh rates, and are on Win10 1909 or earlier. It's a long-standing Windows desktop compositor bug.
right now it's not really making my game choppy anymore, but it does sometimes, same to my obs preview. if i minimize obs it runs smoother.yeah, my main monitor is 165hz, my 2nd is 60hz. or 75 i dont remember.
You appear to be on Win10 2009, the bug is not *completely* fixed for some setups. The only workarounds are either to run all monitors at the same refresh rate, or right-click the preview in OBS and Disable Preview.
It's a long-standing bug (back to Win7 I believe), but it can be intermittent. The only sure fix is to run all monitors at the same refresh rate. Are you saying that this is something Microsoft botched again? I had a break from streaming due to being overwhelmed with work and now after a month I get back and I noticed that too, also with one monitor being 165 Hz and the other being 60 Hz.... and it used to work fine.
bro im not going to go back to 60hz on csgo ever lmfaoIt's a long-standing bug (back to Win7 I believe), but it can be intermittent. The only sure fix is to run all monitors at the same refresh rate.
Well then, disable the Preview in OBS by right-clicking it and selecting 'disable preview'. That's your only other option. LMFAO.bro im not going to go back to 60hz on csgo ever lmfao
