A lot of times whenever I use window or game capture, especially when I use emulators, I notice that half of the time OBS both in the preview and the stream itself seem to get out of sync with what Im seeing on the game itself, and seemingly looks like it starts to skip every other frame as if im streaming at 30FPS, and then goes back to being in sync at 60, then out over and over throughout the stream. Sometimes the sync/desync lasts 20 seconds, sometimes 5 minutes. OBS doesnt show any frame drops at all either. I know its a minor thing, but Im a stickler for perfection and want it to look almost EXACTLY as I see the game at all times, which is smooth.
I dont seem to have this issue with EVERY game, and it doesnt seem to happen almost at all when I use a capture device, so it seems its only affected by Window and Game Capture.
Here is my log file from a stream I was trying to do earlier today when I thought I fixed the issue: https://hastebin.com/kamuvadusi
My PC is as follows:
Here's an example from last night. When my character moves on the stream from one space to the next, its not a smooth transition of pixels like I see on my TV/Monitor which looks like its smoothly sliding rather than jumping. Im also not using a TV/Monitor with interframe blending that adds frames I would see. It doesnt always look like this, but it seems to about half of the time - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/244124075?t=02h39m45s
Ive tried everything and I cant seem to fix the issue at all. I did notice however that if I set the game to run using OpenGL, it seems to stutter at almost the EXACT same time as OBS. Well OpenGL uses my GPU, but I dont tax that in the slightest when Im streaming, especially for a gameboy game.
