Question / Help OBS preview and capture flickering.

For some reason, at random, some games can not be captured at all using Game Capture or Window capture. They will either, not show up at all, or freeze. But if they do happen to actually capture, they start flickering. Keep in mind the flickering does not happen at all on the game visually, this is all happening in OBS. JUST the obs screen preview is flickering. It will do this just by previewing without even going live but will effect the live footage wherever I broadcast it. Here's a recording I just did:

Again the actual screen on which I was playing the game was fine. This is just how it gets captured and previewed in OBS's window and over the stream. My video card is up to date. It is an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series. I'm running it on windows 10 using OBS game capture. This occurs in both windowed and fullscreen. Window capture just flat out doesn't capture for many games.

The ONLY work around is monitor capturing. But i'd like to know if there's a fix to skip all this uneccessary work arounds.

I'm pretty sure it's being caused by the R9 you're using. The only cards I've seen reports of this type of flickering from are R9 series cards.

Yea I only saw a few others posting about this issue and everything in common was AMD graphics cards. Is there a fix for this or anything OBS plans to do about it? It's really troublesome.

The fix probably has to come from the driver side at AMD.

I don't think it's something that can be fixed from OBS' side. And I don't see it on my radeon 7970.

Im curious if I should contact them by phone or see if someone knows if one little setting tweak can fix the problem.
