OBS Portable is crashing and D3D Device being lost in several captured games

Greetings,
a few days ago I started encountering this issue. My OBS Portable, ran from an external SSD, is constantly crashing, sometimes without an error message. Previous logs had entries about maxed out audio buffering, but the crashing thread according to the crash logs is always the "mp_media_thread" one. Additionally, I have had several crashes of games (mostly UE games, but others too) displaying an error message pertaining to the D3D device being lost. Elden Ring, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, God of War (2018), Song of Horror, etc.
I reinstalled the gpu driver after using DDU in secure boot without network drivers. I swapped graphics cards, from a RTX 3070 to a 2070 and back. Checked for any system errors in Win 10 and no issues were found. Reinstalled Win 10 on a new M.2 SSD and the same issues appeared after each of these steps. Win 10, GPU driver, BIOS and everything else is up to date to the best of my knowledge. Did I miss something?

What could be causing these crashes? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

I'm having a similar problem but when streaming games on twitch, for some reason that I don't know whenever I have the obs streaming and I open a game it crashes and then the obs, when opening the games without the obs active they work normally and for extended periods of time, I have the graphics drivers updated and windows as well. If you find the solution or someone else knows it could cause this, I would appreciate it if you could help us
