Question / Help OBS over Nvidia shadowplay

Hi,
I am not the most technical person but i want to use OBS like shadowplay, purely for instant replay kind of stuff , i dont want to be recording constantly.
I was told that OBS will use my RAM instead of my hard drive as a buffer ? So it wont unnecessarily damage my SSD with constant writes.

So is there a tutorial to set up OBS for that , i want very good quality but not huge file size

I have a i7700k cpu with 16GB of lpx corsair vengeance ram , so that should be more than powerful enough .

I don't think OBS can buffer footage and record small chunks... Where did you read that OBS is capable of this?

I have already set it up , just changed the replay buffer size to 600 seconds (10 minutes) and then i press "1" to save the clip.
But so far it seems i can only save the one file at a time , probably wrong about that though.

Save one file at a time as in the same file is being overwritten with the same name?
