Question / Help OBS Outright refuses to pick up Plantronics RIG500HS headset mic

I've been trying to get my Headset (with flip down, flip up) Microphone to work in OBS and have spent the better half of an hour to no avail trying to get it to get my input via the mic rather than the mediocre onboard one, I've done several streams in the past with the same headset and it has worked with no issues beforehand so when I tried to get it working this morning i was rather surprised to see it not working at all, it'd pick up game audio and all however I was better off not having the mic attached to the headset to begin with as it would simply accept no input from it.

I've reverted audio drivers, updated OBS and am kinda just stuck on what else to do, anyone got any fixes?

That log doesn't show you attempting to use the plantronics (assuming it's a usb headset)

It shows you trying to capture the same microphone twice in your scene. And you should be using settings - audio and not adding audio input sources.

Well using default or any other option still doesn't play nice with the aforementioned mic, Even going into settings - audio

And you're using the audio device in settings - audio that actually matches up to the mic from your headset?
Did you also update the new windows mic privacy options?

well other than default (which did work before...) and realtek audio mic (which is the inbuilt computer mic) nothing else shows up when I plug it in

I did actually have to look up how to change the mic privacy options before because I had an issue with Audacity where it would refuse any sort of recording, but that was a few weeks ago
