Hi Guys, Really hoping to get some clarity on this.
I'v done a bunch looking around to find answers to my questions but it seems to either confuse me further ( thats on me) or address an adjacent situation.
Basically, I'm looking to use OBS to record Xbox footage at 1080p 60 FPS but perhaps at a later date if the game runs at 30 FPS, record at 30FPS.
I'm using a Macbook Pro 2020 with the M1 chip and when I record using the "optimal recording" settings, I seem to get frame drops 50% of the time and the end rendering looks to be blurry compared to how it looked on the OBS screen live footage. I'll address I'm not looking to stream, just record. I'll be editting in Davince resolve to put it all together and uploading to youtube thereafter.
Could someone recommend the best settings in the output section for what I'm trying to achieve? I'll be honest, the bitrate and encoder stuff is lost on me so im just looking to take advice on this haha. If you need more info from me, just let me know i'm happy to grab whats needed.
