Question / Help OBS opening but not giving me stream starting options

I used OBS all yesterday and it worked perfectly fine, audio and video and windows capture was perfect! didn't break down once!

But I tried to open it today and it comes up with the top box 'Not streaming, click 'start streaming', 'start recording' or 'preview screen' to begin' but it does not give me any of the buttons that I got yesterday. It is just those words on the blank space.

It isn't even showing me the volume controls ;/

help please!

move the obs folder out of %appdata%\ with obs closed and see if that helps.

okay, now that I have done that it will not let me open OBS at all... it is saying I need to download OBSApi.dll O_o

ok, some antivirus or whatever has eaten part of your obs install.

Should probably reinstall.

How do I reinstall? when I try to download it again, which I did, it told me I already had the application

and it doesn't give the option to reinstall?
if it doesn't just go to programs and features and uninstall there first.

uninstalled it and when I tried to reinstall it, it said I needed 3 windows instalments, I installed them and it keeps telling me to install the windows stuff even though I have already gotten it

Directx, visual studio 2013 runtimes and .net framework?

that is when I try to download the multiplatform one, when I try to download the original the same problem happens as original, the buttons do not come up and give me the option to stream
