(THIS IS A RE-POST FROM THE OBS SUB-REDDIT)
Hey everyone. I've exhausted all my other options here, I didn't wanna have to post about my issue unless I really had to. I can't find any sufficient information on this issue that I'm having...
So to start the problem off, I would drop frames A LOT, all the time, the red square has been haunting me in my dreams. It seemed it was an internet issue at first. I got my ISP to send a technician out to my house to basically run diagnostics and make sure nothing was crazy wrong with any of the cables or anything like that. He replaced a couple of heads on the coaxial cables and from there that was pretty much it, he told me there was pretty much nothing else he could do -- and I know he was telling the truth. I've also contacted Twitch to no avail -- not even a response.
So I JUST re-installed OBS Studio version--(20.0.1) as the time of this post. I did a completely fresh install and attempted to stream. For the sake of speed I let OBS do it's automatic settings, and it put me at 6000kb p/s. When I start streaming it sits around 3100 but the square is green and no sign of dropped frames. Which I find odd because when this issue started I would drop frames at almost what seemed like random times. However I can't get my Bitrate to go to my specified amount. It always sits around half. I've tested 5000 and 3500 and with the same result.
If ANYONE has any ideas... please post them here. I will post my log here -- this is the attempt AFTER a fresh install at 6000 bitrate.
::EDIT:: -- Also, my Internet connection is 100/10. Just for future reference.
