Question / Help Obs only records audio, not video

When I create a new game capture source Obs will record properly only with default settings, if i choose capture specific window or capture foreground window the preview will be just a black screen,it will record just the audio. And that red "box" that helps to zoom parts of the video appears on top left and will disappear if i click on it. Only happens with game capture.

I don't think any testing is being done on Win 7 anymore. Users of current versions of OBS are urged to upgrade.

The only other thing I'm reading suggests that OBS has trouble with Dx12 but capture works in Dx11, but these threads seem old and I'm not sure if this is still the case with Hitman2.
