Question / Help OBS on stream pc keeps freezing/crashing. Won't broadcast after disconnect.

Just got back from being away for over month, and all of the sudden I've started to have some frustrating issues when trying to stream. It's important to note that I run a streaming pc and you can find the specs on my twitch page; http://www.twitch.tv/juicetra. Since the last stream before I left, the only thing that has changed is my ISP. With the change I've had to use a Powerline product (http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product...spx?path=7bb4ebd3868acc414c43be25fe38d660en02) to get internet from the modem in our bedroom, to my office over 100 feet away.

The stream starts up fine, and seems to run fine when running my intermission scene (webcam/some graphics). When I switch to playing games, everything is fine for a short period of time, however after a while my OBS seems to freeze, stream bitrate drops to 0kbps, and the stream reconnect but it doesn't broadcast anymore. In order for me to broadcast I have to restart my streaming pc.

I've tried lowering my bitrate, lowering my fps, changing the preset from fast to very fast, yet I still seem to crash while in-game.

I have no idea how to read these logs, but below are the recent logs after crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Powerline adapters are kind of bad. You should try running a cable and seeing if the problems disappear.

Hi, I can't find any stalled frames in your log, therefore Twitch publishing seems to work, albeit Twitch had some issue in the last days, maybe you were just unlucky. EDIT: The info about Powerline Adapters still stand from R1ch.

Anyway, thats what the analyzer put out for your log:

Late frames detected

15.20% of your frames are late. This means the frames are being generated later than they were needed, causing your stream FPS to drop. Late frames are often caused by slow sources such as monitor capture, slow video capture devices or by trying to run your stream at too high of a resolution / FPS.

If you are using a webcam, try to lower the resolution of it. If you are using monitor capture, try switching to game source or window capture. If you must use monitor capture, ensure Aero is disabled.

You can also try lowering the resolution or FPS of your stream if you have an older CPU.

See https://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11641 for more information on how to resolve this issue.

I would recommend you switch back to veryfast for the time beeing and reduce your webcam resolution to 1280x720 which is still enough for fullscreen facecam and keep monitoring.

When you get problems go Help > Log Files > Analyze current log for a quick info on your status.

Valuable feedback, thanks.

I'll remain on the veryfast preset (had it enabled as per the second log), and even lower my webcam resolution as I'm already currently running it at 1280x720.

As for the Powerline, unfortunately out of the question at the moment as my suite layout doesn't afford me the luxuries of being directly connected to my modem. :(
