OBS on Laptop is displaying a black screen

While trying to setup a Display Capture and Game capture they both just display a black screen I've tried switching the GPU which obs pulls the display from but it hasnt changed anything.

Where did you set the gpu for OBS?
What gpu did you set?

Graphics Settings where I was able to switch from the Nvidia to the Intel gpu and vice versa ( power saving and High performance) and at the moment its on Power saving which managed to solve half the problem of now it can display capture but cant really game capture

You have a choice
Game capture or display capture

Game capture requires obs and your game both on the high performance.
Display capture requires obs on the power saving.

Additionally, some games have special requirements.
