OBS now only faulty?

I have a Mac Studio M1 Max 32GB, macOS Tahoe 26.2, and OBS 32.0.4. When I start it up, I always have to select what OBS should record, which microphone it should use, music, Discord, etc., but why is that necessary? And as soon as I make my selection, OBS freezes 99% of the time. Out of 20-40 attempts, it might work once. Ultimately, streaming is not possible.

And although I was able to make a backup of my profile, importing it doesn't work at all.

Had a similar freezing issue on my M1 Mac after updating to Tahoe. Turns out the application audio capture in 32.x has some quirks with certain audio routing setups. What fixed it for me was resetting OBS completely, deleting the config folder at ~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio and starting fresh instead of importing a profile. Also make sure you're adding audio sources one at a time, not all at once, that seemed to trigger the freeze. If it still locks up, try running OBS from Terminal so you can see the crash output, might give you a clue whats happening.
