Question / Help OBS not working on Surface Pro 3

I have tried every setting and even though it's set up right, when I record the video is frozen and/or no audio. Does it even work with the SP3? I managed to stream on Twitch with it in December very briefly before the game distorted and was not streaming properly. I tried just recording a simple 8-bit PC game from Steam with my webcam on and it simply won't record what's on the screen. In OBS, everything looks fine but the videos show otherwise.

you need to post one of your log files. Surface pros are more often than not mobile i3 or i5s with no dedicated GPU to which OBS needs when downscaling.

I'm getting dropped frames all over the place, but my CPU's only at like 25% utilisation. Any ideas?

I would downscale more. that onboard interl GPU isn't very powerful for OBS to use as a frame buffer and to downscale. I would stick with like 480p instead of 720p

Second, dont stream over wireless internet.

RTMPPublisher::SocketLoop: Stalled for 1917 ms to write 1460 bytes (buffer: 370878 / 373760), unstable connection?

the above is happening which is a stalled connection either due to bad upload speed to your ISP or wireless connection to router. it adds an extra layer of complication to streaming


Syncing audio to video time

I wouldn't set audio to video time. you need to take care of the duplicated frames which is due to issue 1 that causes stream to look bad and be out of sync.
