Question / Help OBS not updating between all .PNG files?

I'm using Scoreboard Assistant with OBS Studio 20.1.3 and when changing the images in Scoreboard Assistant (and as such changing the base file that OBS is pulling from). I've realised that the image in OBS changes when it's getting changed to a 'newer' file, that is to say a file that was made more recently. The image in OBS does not change if I change the file that OBS is pulling from to an 'older' image or even an image of the same 'age'. The files in the folder that Scoreboard Assistant is pulling from were all placed there simultaneously and the metadata on the output image (the one that OBS is reading) never appears to change. Any advice on why this is happening and what I can do to be able to switch between the images freely would be greatly appreciated.

OBS looks at the file modification time to decide when to reload. If the files have identical modification times then you will need to re-save some of them with no changes so that OBS can detect the differences.
