Question / Help OBS Not recording video yet records high pitched squeel

Hi,
I have attempted to sort this like 8 times now and i am getting nowhere, when i go to edit a video in sony vegas pro i notice there is a high pitch squeel rather than any form of video, i dont know whats wrong with it but it does this with vlc and media player

any reasons to why this is happening or should i factory reset obs?

i need to know because i am due to livestream some gameplay from the ps3

How thoroughly have you checked our audio/video settings? We need more info. What are you trying to record, and how are your settings set to accomplish that? How is your scene set up?
