OBS not recording player character audio, tried several ways to make it work.

My daughter recently recorded some gameplay of a game called The Invincible and noticed during playback that the main character/protagonist had no audio but in game you could hear the player character. We're not sure if it's a game issue or not, we've been through the game settings multiple times making adjustments and nothing changed, I even helped her change some settings in OBS but nothing changed really but we were finally able to get it recorded but please see attached images, we don't think it should be done this way just to record voiced audio for a single character in a game. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

In Desktop audio should be desktop audio selected.
If the audio comes from the game capture device, you should check if it's working correctly and see it on the audio levels from OBS.

Disregard post #3 my daughter finished writing and posting it, due to the 10-minute edit limit, I can't edit or delete it, I already reported it to have it deleted.

I apologize for my late, absent-minded, reply, but that's the way it works for my daughter with the ONE game she is recording, with one game she can hear everything with no problem, all the characters including the player character, she uses Application audio capture with screen capture because that's the only way it will record properly, it's an older game ( OG Deus Ex ) that won't work with game capture.

The one in question she uses game capture along with Application audio capture, everything gets captured, ambient sounds, music, and NPCs the only thing that isn't captured is the player audio. The only way we found that the player character ( The Invincible ) actually gets recorded is by using the Global Audio capture.? As well as using Application audio capture for the game as a whole,
we looked through OBS to see if possibly there was a setting that needed to be changed or adjusted but anything we tried didn't seem to make any difference.

I record TSW2, 3, 4 TSW2020 with zero issues, with OBS 28 & 29
