Hey so I recently decided I wanted to stream ableton (woopee too me), I went and grabbed obs, found out I needed a virtual cable program because ableton would not send audio to obs by default, so I got Virtual Meeter Banana. It's just that no matter what configuration I use, or guide I follow (which is successful for everyone else) OBS will not pick up audio from a virtual cable or virtual anything from the mic port (which is where everyone tells me to route my virtual mixer to), although I can directly plug my mic into OBS and it works fine...
