Question / Help OBS not producing Audio using Optical Output.

Im having issues with OBS producing my game/music through my headset. Im using ASTRO A50's and using the Optical Output setting for my headset. For some reason there is no sound coming through, my mic works though. When I switch my Default Audio Playback to my TV, it works fine in OBS. Just for some reason the Digital Output(Optical) isn't working.

EDIT: I fixed it. It was muted in my Volume Mixer. But now I can hear myself talk and what not. Is there a way to mute OBS so that I don't hear myself?

Oh, sorry. I didn't read the post fully, sorry. Hmm, I never heard of this issue before. Try to reconnect your headset to your PC.

Yeah its weird.. Like I can't mute my OBS in Volume Mixer because then OBS doesn't produce my game sound. But if I don't mute it I can hear my game twice and hear myself.

OBS doesn't output anything to your speakers by default, it only captures. If you're hearing your own microphone, that's a setting on your headset or your PC. Check the Windows sound control panel and verify that you didn't accidentally select the "Listen to this device" option on your mic.

Chances are you didn't, but also verify you didn't turn on audio monitoring for your mic in Edit -> Advanced Audio Properties
