Foreign Accents

I have a HyperX Cloud headset and when I plug it into my computer I can go into the audio settings and see it as an option and select it but when I go to stream there is no sound being streamed. And on my Elgato HD60 it shows that the Mic is working and being picked up but on OBS it hasn't showed up. Is there a simple fix I'm missing? Or do I need a mic splitter for my controller to plug into my Elgato as well? Thanks for any help
