Question / Help OBS not picking up Fallout 2

I thought I'd record some Fallout 2 gameplay but OBS won't pick up the video, only the audio. I have no issues with other games like Overwatch or 7 Days to Die, but I cannot get OBS to pick up the video of Fallout 2. Is it because the game is so old? I've tried the same settings I use for Overwatch and 7D2D and that doesn't work. I tried setting it to capture a specific window but I still only get blackness. Additionally, the hotkey I set to start/stop recordings doesn't work when in Fallout 2. It's as if OBS doesn't recognize that Fallout 2 is running when set to capture a specific window nor does it recognize that a full screen application is running when set to capture full screen applications.

I've also tried setting up a display capture but it won't capture the game, only the desktop, and again, the start/stop recording button doesn't work in the game. I have to tab out and manually start and stop the recording and I've tried display capturing both ways, with the game running before recording and starting recording before launching the game. In either case, the display capture only captures the desktop video, even when I'm in the game; the game sounds are coming through loud and clear.

Use this to run Fallout 2 in windowed mode and use window capture, or use the Fallout 2 High Resolution Patch on the same page for windowed mode. You cannot capture fullscreen games with display/window capture and Fallout 2 is too old to make game capture work.

Thanks. Running it as admin did the trick. I had set it up as a game capture to begin with, like I said, I used the same settings I use for Overwatch and 7 Days to Die, but when it wasn't working I tried everything else I could think of to get it to record and it wouldn't. It's working now though so thank you for the Admin tip. Much appreciated.
