Question / Help OBS Not Opening...

So, I have been using OBS since 2014 and decided to switch to Studio. IT WAS AMAZING! But only lasted about a week... OBS Studio seems to run but it wont pop up it just sits in my task bar. Is there a way to fix this? I have uninstalled, troubleshot, ran as admin. I'm not sure what to do.

so you know how normally when you have an issue with something and you google it and most of the hits are for years ago? I found this 36 minutes after it was made. if only it'd already been answered in that half hour it'd be the holy grail of all bug hunts.

at any rate, i literally just had this issue too. I uninstalled and reinstalled and nada. exactly the same as OP's except for exactly where on the taskbar it's sitting.

Close OBS Studio, go to %appdata%\obs-studio and try deleting global.ini. That should reset the window position, assuming its position is the issue here.

This is a 2 year old thread.

That said, either you're running 32 bit OBS on a 64 bit system, which won't work, or your Windows is out of date.
