Question / Help OBS Not Launching (This One is Bad)

So, I am sure this has happened before in the forums and is not new, but I have always been able to fix it from the threads, This time is different and I cannot find a solution to get the program to launch. I stream frequently, so I need OBS to work all the time. However recently I have not been able to launch OBS for some reason.

I click the logo in the taskbar once, like I usually do, and now for some reason, it just does the loading circle and loads the process in the task manager, well this would be great if I could get to it, but I have no way to open it, and no way to utilize the software. I restart my computer and it will work once and only once, but I can not hit the stream or record button, it just lets me click it but then does nothing

Also, I do use team-viewer for my stream, so this is a necessity, however I start OBS before teamviewer, and it has worked perfectly fine in the past. I have also disabled all of my firewalls and added security exceptions for it.

I have been troubleshooting this for 3 hours and looking through the forums for solutions but nothing seems to be working.

Any help on the matter would be nice, I really would like to avoid reinstalling the program if possible because my layovers are very complicated and I do not really want to redo them.

Thanks,
Michael

When that happened to me I discovered there was an OBS.exe process that never shut down.
Once I shut down the process in Task Manager it worked fine.

I have shut down the process via task manager, and tried, but it is still not working. This is the whole problem, it seems to be running but there is no way to access it via any screen, I can only see it running in the task manager. :/

I'm not that knowledgeable about the program so you'll have to wait until a more experienced user helps you out.
Sorry..

If you have a crash log, post it.
I won´t be able to analyze it, but a "real guru" will have more info

Well the problem isn't that it is crashing. The program won't even open. I included a log of the program startup and I think that is where the problem is, but I just do not understand the log :/

Maybe you should reinstall G35 drivers and try again.

Well that would be quite an interesting problem, headset drivers conflicting with OBS, never would have even thought of that. I'll try it when I get home from work, but if anyone else has any other ideas feel free to post!

So, looking through this at home, I tried analyzing the crash file, it seems that you were partially correct about the headset software, however I do not believe that was the problem.

After deleting temp files, it only opened once, after you close it after that, the problem reoccurs where you cannot open this....this is starting to get annoying.

If you hold the shift key down and right click the OBS icon in the taskbar try to nice if the move option is selectable or grayed out. If it's selectable it could be opening OBS on a different monitor or some sort of virtual monitor. In that case simply use your arrow keys to try and move OBS to the monitor you want it to be on. Try all 4 arrow keys one by one to see if you can get the window to begin appearing on your monitor.

Also Go to the task manager and see if you can find many obs.exe processes running under the background processes. Kill all of them under background processes. Sometimes I launch obs and it doesn't launch and if I click again on the taskbar button it launches but it wont capture or has some kind of issue with my webcam not showing. If I end task all the OBS.exe under background processes all is fine. Hopefully something here is helpful for you.

Alright, reinstalled, it was working! however, as soon as I hooked up my elgato HD60 capture card. It immediately crashed. So, I think the bug lies within the compatibility for the Elgato Card and OBS. May be something for the Devs to take a look at.

does anyone have any possible updates on this issue? Worst part is many people are starting to have this issue it appears. If we could get a dev to look into this situation very thoroughly I am sure a lot of people would be very happy.
