Hey guys, I still haven't found a solution. I have been asking in videos, reddit and friends and I the problem still persist. Not sure what else I can try at this point. so I'm going to try and describe my set up and the problem as best as I can.

Specs
  • Motherboard: [EVGA Z77 FTW]
  • Ram: [G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 16GB]
  • CPU: [Intel i7-3770k @ 3.50GHz]
  • GPU: [EVGA GTX 760 FTW ACX]
  • PSU: [Corsair GS800 (800W)]
  • HDD: [Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB]
  • [Avermedia Live Gamer HD]
  • 5mb upload
  • OS Windows 10
The way I have it set up is OBS gets the Screen source from my Avermedia Live Gamer HD into the scene. when I play WoW on Full screen Borderless OBS goes below 30 fps but my actual game says at around 80 fps at all times. Now when I play wow on Full Screen then everything is fine, OBS has no problem and always stays at 30fps. I have also tried getting my source from Monitor Capture or Window Capture and I will have the same problem where obs starts randomly getting into the 19 fps and lower. At this point all I can think of is that there is a compatibility problem within OBS and Win 10. Does anyone has had the same issue? Is there a way to solve it? I have tried Reinstalling OBS and OBS MP and I have tried XSplit, all of them yielding same results. I also tried using X.264 encoded and the Nvenc encoders no difference at all.

You should be using game capture to capture games on the computer.

There is no benefit to capturing your computer with a capture card in a 1-computer setup.

In fact, a capture card will induce MORE cpu overhead, as it's a longer capture pipeline than game or window cap.
