Question / Help OBS Not Detecting Speakers

Something strange I've noticed with OBS is that it no longer detects my speakers, which is the primary output device when I'm in-game. The only thing that it is detecting is my microphone, even if I set the desktop audio device setting to default, and even if I unplug my headset leaving only my speakers as an audio device. I remember when I first started using the software that it was able to detect the sound from the game as well as my microphone because my first followers complained about how they couldn't hear me over the game. Now however, it seems I can't get in-game audio at all unless my speakers are turned up...which isn't good news for my neighbors.

A brief rundown of my rig:

Mobo: MSI Z77 mpower 1155
CPU: Intel i7 3770k (oc'd @ 4.5ghz)
SPD: Corsair PC3-10700H (8gb @ 1800)
GPU: EVGA GTX 460 SC (used for video encoding)
EVGA GTX 750 ti (primary card)

I'm using the onboard sound, which is a realtek unit but I'm not plugged into the digital output and I'm not using the HDMI as the audio output either. Anyone have any suggestions?
