Question / Help OBS not detecting line audio from elgatohd60

So I have my Elgato HD60 set up to where I have my headset plugged in wired into my controller to capture all audio from the game consoles so chats and games can be heard when I stream to twitch. Recently after an update on OBS it now only detects audio coming from the Elgato when I have my headset unplugged (meaning it's only picking up audio from the HDMI source and not the line-in). I was running OBS from two different computers (at separate times of course) and my Desktop that had a more recent update to OBS was having this issue first where as my Laptop that had an older version handled it fine. I realized that it was OBS having the issue after updating it on my Laptop as well. A mistake I now regret.

Are there any fixes to this? Was there something in the update that I'm suppose to change so it picks up the line audio? Everything seems to look exactly the same.

I can capture any Line-in source by Audio Input Capture (OBS Studio doesn't care where it connected to). Just check your settings and Advanced Audio Properties.

Have you tried this:

Go into your video source capture (elgato) and right click it and go to properties. At the bottom, instead of it saying capture audio only, change that to the same elgato video source. Thats what I did and it worked perfectly fine.

Tried that. Still only picks up the audio when the headset is not plugged into the controller. No idea what's going on. It works fine with the line-in audio via the Elgato software. OBS is the only thing not picking it up.

Are you running the latest version of OBS with a headset connected wired to the controller?

Ah, i get it now. Have you tried using a splitter cable? Plug 1 into your controller, and the other into your pc.

Hey so I decided to run the line-in straight to my computer as a microphone instead of running it to the elgato. Then in OBS go into the properties for the elgato, set "use custom audio device" then choose the line-in. Worked fine!... Now to organize this cable that runs across my lap....
