Question / Help OBS not detecting capture card audio

i recently purchased the Diamond VC500 capture card, videos just the way i want it , minimal lag but OBS doesnt record the audio with the video. also when i use game capture with it the screen is just black, i've been using video capture but im not sure if it's the best

Sometimes, you also have to manually select the audio of the device in the video device source properties. For example blackmagic cards have that sort of issue. Otherwise you may need to include a log file.
