Question / Help OBS no longer captures a window that isn't top window

I switched from Windows 8.1 to Win7 and after reinstalling OBS.. before, it would record a window even if it wasn't the top window when I switch between windows, which was my favorite thing about OBS because I'd like for that window to still be all that is recorded. Is there a setting that I need to change? thanks

Under Windows 7 you need to make sure Windows Aero is active. You can see that it is active if your window borders and task bar are transparent. (OBS also has an option to disable aero on start, make sure its not checked)
