OBS/NixOS/Obsbot plugins

Hi everyone, first post here. I tried to scan the Obsbot-related threads before posting but there's a lot of content to get through. I hope I'm not boring anyone with a duplicated post.

OK... I'm building an Obsbot into my content workflow and encountering the same problems as everyone else.

Step #1 in my plan was to load the latest-and-greatest OBS Studio onto my faithful Q4os(Debian branch) laptop. If I could have done that, #2 would have been to add plug-ins to control the Obsbot as and when they became available.

I'd rather not use the flatpak install because I need those plug-ins. However, in the process of the step #1 upgrade/install via apt I learned that getting an apt-based install of OBS v31 or 32 will be difficult or impossible because Debian is moving away from third-party PPAs.

Two questions and a bonus:
1. Does anyone have the Obsbot plug-ins working on a flatpak install of OBS-Studio?
2. If I (gah!) have to change OS, which is the distro the smart kids are picking? I checked out NixOS which has a v31 OBS in its packages but others may tell me to look elsewhere.

Bonus question:
This GitHub project https://github.com/mitchelloharawild/obsbot-tiny-2-control includes a Shiny app that adds control over AI features to OBS Studio. I note that the software has been out for a while. Anyone used this successfully?
