Question / Help OBS - New User

I have searched up the error and most times the fix is that the audio device is unplugged or drivers need to be updated yet even after checking and updating these my OBS still would not recognize any output audio devices.

It seems to only detect devices in the blue and pink audio slots even though my PC recognizes and sends audio to the used green audio slots...

It just will not detect it in OBS...

I did uncheck the box to show plugged in devices and tried saving the settings that way with the proper slot being selected however it would just crash OBS telling me to check the logs in which I did and was just an error code that as i stated before was found to be fixed by plugging in a device and or updating drivers.

Is there any thing else I can try?

I have tried disabling multiple audio devices that show up in my sound playback settings and tried using every audio port even the HDMI that is plugged into my TV, but it will just not work..............

Is your mic being recorded but not your speakers/headset?
Go to Settings > Advanced and UNcheck the "Use input device for desktop audio" box.
Then go to Settings > Audio and make sure the correct devices are selected.

Apart of that, the error normally occurs if the device selected has been disconnected while obs was running.

Its actually not turned on by default (has been double checked some time ago) maybe you accidently tried it at some point and forgot about it. But I hope your problem is fixed then :)
