Question / Help OBS - NDI Stream looks Pixelated/Blurry

Hi,

Would love it if someone has any tips for me. My ONLY way right now is YouTube because Twitch has no easy routes to the Middle east therefore I am trying to be based off of YouTube. So since that's out of the way, I have two machines a Gaming PC which is a i78700k, 16GB RAM, GTX1060 and all those good things. Works superb for games like CS GO and PUBG and that's all I can ask for. I impulse purchased an Asus ROG laptop which is a fairly good machine with an i78750H, 16GB RAM and a 1050 TI.

I am trying to setup an NDI based stream and there have been superb tutorials which have helped me reach a point where my stream is up and I am outputting at 1080p60fps and although the videos look just about alright sometimes; for most part I can see pixels which make it look vile! Also the kill feed, you cannot read it at all and it just feels like a low quality stream where as it is now. Am I missing something here? I have tried x264, NVENC and NVENC new in all sort of combinations.

Setup -
Gaming PC is outputting native 1080p at 60fps not downscaled.
Streaming Laptop: Video at native 1080p 60fps
Render: 5000 Kbps, CPU preset verfast, Profile - High

Appreciate if there is anyone with any tips!

Cheers!~

Use as much bitrate as your internet allows, since YouTube has no limits like Twitch, and they will transcode everything anyway.

My internet speed is at around 500 mbps down and 100 mbps up. So what's your recommendation here? Also, a high bitrate, won't that just kill people who would probably want to come watch my stream? :)

Your viewers will never see the same stream you upload to YouTube, it's always transcoded to a lower bitrate / resolution. So you want the highest possible original quality to get the best results.
